Dishank Sachin Bajaj wins 18th RCC Cup Bullet Chess Tournament

The 18th edition of the RCC Cup Bullet Chess Tournament, organized by RCC Mangalore, was held on 15th February 2025 at Rao’s Chess Corner-02 in Mangalore.

This highly competitive event attracted players across various age categories, showcasing intense battles on the chessboard.

WIM Isha Sharma inaugurated the event and remained present throughout, encouraging the young chess players. She also distributed the prizes, making the occasion even more special for the participants.

FA Sakshath U K was the arbiter of the tournament.

Rao’s Chess Corner-2 (New branch) is an initiative by IM Sharan Rao (founder and head coach of RCC) to nurture chess talent in Mangalore. His dedication to developing the chess community must be making a significant impact, providing players—especially young ones—with opportunities to improve their skills and compete at higher levels.

Main Category Winners

In the open category, Dishank Sachin Bajaj emerged victorious with a remarkable score of 9½ points, securing the first place and a cash prize of ₹3000. He was closely followed by Rudra Rajeev, who finished second with 9 points and won ₹2500. Siddhanth Prabhu M claimed the third position with 8½ points, earning ₹2000.
