About Us

This institute was started by a noble human Dr. Eva D. Bell in the year 1981. The institute which began its service with just 7 children and 1 teacher has grown gigantically with 90 children and 21 staff today. Ten of the staffs are specially trained in field of special education and 10 care takers for assisting the teachers. The school is managed by the Church of South India, Southern Diocese and comes under department of Women and Child Welfare, Karnataka State.

Since its inception in 1981 till now about 800 children have been trained here and are employed in various fields like bakery business, aluminium works, book making etc. Few of the rehabilitated persons are now employed as helpers/caretakers in the very institution. The staff with their parental care nurture the kids to identify their real capabilities and apply needed corrections in their day to daily life. The teaching staff have yearly and quarterly goals worked out for every student to track the progress of the student with quarterly evaluation.
