Vidya Mandir Ind. PU College came into being in the year 2001 with a modest strength of hundred students and nine lecturers. Initially, two options were offered in the Science stream- PCMB and PCMC. Subsequently, the Commerce stream was included. PCME in science stream was introduced, after witnessing a surge in the demand for the same.

Currently, we have around one thousand six hundred students. Since its inception, the institution has progressed by leaps and bounds, carving a niche for itself in the education scenario of Bangalore. The growth of our institution has been phenomenal with respect to infrastructure and academic excellence. The excellent results achieved year after year in the P.U Board exams speak volumes about the high standards of coaching imparted.

The institution strongly believes that providing value based education is essential to churn out students of high morality. Hence discipline and moral values form the foundation for the way of working and teaching in the institution.

We, at Vidya Mandir are committed to providing an ideal environment for the students to thrive and to nurture themselves.

• Library: The library boasts of a wide variety of books by various authors. Students and the staff members have easy access to important academic books. The books relating to competitive exams preparation prove to be a big asset for the aspiring students.
• Laboratories: To match with the steadily increasing number of students joining us, the number of labs has also been increased. Currently, there are 3 Physics labs, 3 Chemistry labs and 1 each for Biology, Electronics and Computer science. The labs are well equipped and constantly upgraded to facilitate the students.
• Audio Visual Room: The AV room is housed in the fourth floor. It can accommodate more than 200 students. It is used for conducting workshops, guest lectures and seminars. It provides the students with a refreshing break from the monotony of classroom teaching.
• Robotics: Keeping in mind the growing importance of Robotic technology, the college has introduced Robotics classes for the students of IPU Electronics and Computer Science sections. They are taught the basics of Robotics and also get to try their hands in practical robotics during the lab sessions.
