In the year 1994, BET Composite PU College for Girls was established and inaugurated. Alhamdulillah, PUC is growing strong day by day since the inception.

“Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow” Dr. Mumtaz Ahmed Khan inaugurated this college during 1994 in presence of Moulana Riyaz Ur Rahman Rashadi, Mr. CR Sagir Ahmed, Mr. Ramalinga Reddy, Mr. Sadath Ali Khan, Mr. R Roshan Baig and Mr. K Ramaiah.

Government of Karnataka granted permission to this college with vides order No. ED 54 SHA dated 18-8-1994. Government of Karnataka declared this PU College as linguistic and religious minority institutions. vide order No. 28/95-96 dated 26-3-1996. Combinations offered: PCMB, HEBA, HEPS with first language: Urdu, Hindi, Kannada and English, later in the year 2009 we got CEBA permission from PU board, 21 staff members are serving 310-girls students hailing from educationally and economically backward families.

BET Composite PU College interprets the challenges that are in store for the students. Our mission is providing the support and foundation to the students in meeting the challenges they face, and to assist them to reach their desired goals, different branches related to the stream of ARTS, SCIENCE and COMMERCE are prepared, and every year we are getting more than 85% results (overall) in II PUC, but in commerce we are getting 95% results.

The College encourages the students to be diligent in their work, to persevere through difficult times, and to do their best. With the guidance of teachers and of the College administrative staff, students will reach their port of dreams, sailing with the wind and sometimes against it; but we will ensure that they never fail in the storms or anchor their ship of dreams unless they achieve their goals.

The College has a proud mission driven by community providing a world class education, celebrating the fact that each student is different, as a person and as a learner. We believe that powerful learning and teaching occurs under a shared spirit of respect which creates a passionate college experience recognized for its warmth, energy and excellence.

The college has a well established infrastructure which includes well equipped labs i.e. Hi-tech computer lab, digital library, biology lab, physics lab, and chemistry lab that helps the students to enhance their development skills. This helps them for their intellectual growth in both personal and professional lives, we want to put on record, so many pass out students are excelling in their professional life’s, some students have taken up international assignments.
We strongly believe that education is collaborative effort which involves professional administrators, committed teachers and motivated students. We dedicate ourselves as professional administrators in creating a dynamic education programme empowering the students in a global prospective.

The year 2019-20 marks the twenty fifth year of BET COMPOSITE PU COLLEGE FOR GIRLS existence. The twenty five successful and rewarding academic years that have gone by, have reaffirmed our academic excellence and distinguished standing in the sphere of pre university education in the city. As we reflect on the academic journey spanning two and a half decades, we realize it is the most apposite time to rededicate ourselves to our mission with renewed zeal and vigor, and to chart out new directions and explore new avenues.

In the year 2012, with the blessings of almighty Arts stream our college was admitted into Grant in aid. Later in the year 2018 Science stream was also admitted into grant in aid. We, at BET COMPOSITE PU COLLEGE FOR GIRLS focus on Co-Curricular activities along with academic curriculum so that students develop skills beyond knowledge of subjects. Co-curricular activities are meant to bring social skills, intellectual skills, moral values, personality progress and character appeal in students. It includes athletics, cultural events, Library activities, lab activities, along with classroom related activities, creative arts and meditation etc. Skill development classes are also conducted during college hours to encourage their hidden talents. Co-Curricular activities also help improve teaching techniques at college.

To continue to perform a sort of performance we tend to follow the discipline in manner that interacts both for the lecturers as well as the students in our institution. Different committees have been organised by the management in which all the lecturers has taken an objective and initiative to indulge in the growth and expansion of our establishment.

We, the dedicated staff and the management assure you that along with our team of experienced teachers are doing their best to give every student the required boundary to make her mark in this universal world.

• Class Room,Smart Class: One of the unique facilities that we offer is teaching through smart classes. Electronic media is used in the best manner possible to encourage learning through visual as well as audio media. There is a knowledge centre amply loaded with study materials, from where the respective lessons are streamed into on time. The introduction of smart classroom has proved to be a tremendous success as the students actually see the animated display of almost all the topics of all the subjects on a wide plasma television screen controlled by the teacher in the classroom. This makes learning an enjoyable experience for students while improving their overall performance.
• Transport,Library: Our College library is very spacious, furnished stylishly,. It has nearly more than Four thousand books on various subjects, variety of standard periodicals and educational CD’s. The well stocked reference section houses encyclopedias, dictionaries and books on almost all topics required by students. We also subscribe multiple copies of all major Newspapers, magazines & journals. The college library is housed on the Ground floor in a spacious and well ventilated place. With a separate reading room and a reference section, the library serves as a central information centre for students and teachers. There are more than 3,500 books, 02 Journals, 17 Magazines and 4 News papers.

Value Education to enhance human values

Value education is education in values and education towards the inculcation of values. We attach a great deal of importance to humility and honesty and impart all these qualities to students which will last with them for the rest of their live.

• News Paper for all students,Auditorium: Our auditorium is an indispensable part of College activities. It is well equipped with advanced sound and modern light system. It is very spacious and can accommodate up to 500 students at a time. All functions, competitions and activities are held in the auditorium itself.

Discipline Committee

Discipline committee members play a very important role in disciplining the students Disciplinary Committee is the equivalent of “College police” who inspect clothing, makes notes of disorderly conduct, report to principal students who are breaking the rules solve disputes between students if any. Find students who are skipping classes thus making the classroom environment more productive and respectful.

Keeping in mind “ COMING TOGETHER IS A BEGINNING, KEEPING TOGETHER IS PROGRESS, WORKING TOGETHER IS SUCCESS ” BET ECO CLUB Co- ordinators have been working tirelessly since its inception in 2011 to add up its contribution to improve the challenging environmental conditions, the most important one is the “ cleanliness Drive.”
