A Post Graduate in Management, the Captain is an Alumnus of the prestigious ‘Officers Training Academy’, Chennai and winner of the ‘Sword of Honor’, 2 Gold and 1 Silver Medal.

Capt. Unni Gopala Krishnan has the experience and know how of more than 12 years in the field of education. As a Founder Trustee, he has been instrumental in conceiving and setting up Indus International School (has resigned from Indus Trust in January 2010) and Primus Public school in Bangalore.

Captain Unni was the prime mover in the setting up of the schools with responsibility and accountability in all fields that range from identifying and purchasing land, procuring Government sanctions, successfully seeking investors and financial support of Financial Institutions, Ensuring timely completion of project and Managing Finances.

An extremely proactive teacher, Capt. Unni Gopala Krishnan is invited by Various Institutions as a guest lecturer for Media planning and Account Management. His remarkable self discipline, Positive Mental Attitude and cheerful demeanor make him a role model to students of all ages. Hands on approach, self discipline, eye for detail and the ability to provide practical solutions to complex problems has been the reason for success of Capt. Unni Krishnan.

Facilities

Library and Reference: Primus boasts of a well stocked library with books to satisfy all types of readers. It also has a reference section so that students will be able to reinforce the classroom learning. We expect that this will encourage them to develop an orientation towards research. In order to ensure that the students get to read the kind of books that they enjoy, we have a Student Recommendation Register in the library where the student is able to recommend new additions to the library.

A library is not just a collection of books. Primus will have an active library programme where students recommend books and, as part of the book club, students and teachers discuss the positive and negative aspects of the story, the style of writing, the choice of plot and so on.

Computer Lab: The college has a very well equipped computer lab with a 1:1 ratio of student to computer. The computer lab is provided with the latest and innovative educational software to benefit students and teachers alike.
The entire school is wifi enabled. A security system is in place to make sure that the students are not distracted by unwanted web content. Students will be allowed to browse the internet at specific times as specified by the supervisor.

Audio Visual Room: A well designed audio visual room is available for special sessions where some topics are taught through the use of modern technology. The information available on the internet is vast and this can be accessed and shown to the student to make certain concepts more vivid. Presentations are also made both by the student and the teacher. Sometimes even movies are screened here. The room has a computer, an audio system, an LCD projector and other modern gadgets to make the experience special.

Multi Purpose Hall: There is a large hall which may be used for special assemblies, conduct of exams or other formal functions. This also doubles up as a badminton court for the students.

Sports Facilities: We believe that for the healthy development of an individual, it is not enough to focus on academics alone. A healthy spirit of sportsmanship must be developed in each individual. The student must be able to participate in physical activity too. The college has a large playground with facilities for cricket, basketball, football and other track and field games. In addition, there is an indoor badminton court.

Laboratories: The college has well equipped laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer. All chemicals, specimens and instruments are in place & the student is encouraged to use these to further their knowledge of the subject by having a chance to experience the theory that is taught in class. The student is exhorted to attend the laboratory sessions without fail. Pursuit of science is enriching and fulfilling only if it is hands-on. The laboratories provide students with space for questioning, discussions and experimentation.

Student Care

Medical Attention:The school has a well-equipped infirmary and trained medical staff to cater to emergencies. Tie-ups with well-known hospitals in the vicinity have been made. Each student’s medical record is maintained up-to-date for ready reference in case of emergencies.

Counsellor: The school has an in-house counsellor that the students can approach with their concerns. The counsellor is available on campus once a week. Students may visit her with a prior appointment. The student may also be recommended for counselling by the parent or teacher.

Primus P U College Soars High

Primus P U College Saw Its Seventh Batch Of Class Xii Students Appear In The Pre University Exam March 2019. Out Of 64 Students, 30 Students Secured A Distinction (Above 75%). Almost 90% Of Our Students Scored Either Distinction Or First Divisions. 

In The Science Stream, Greeshma Vishnu, The College Topper Secured 95.1% Followed Closely By Rhea Adhikari With A Score Of 94.8%. In The Commerce Stream, Gayathri Vinod Topped The College With 94.7%.
